My son Diego spent his summer in Mexico with my parents, that’s close to two months! He missed us for a few minutes here and there, but for the most part he was having so much fun he considered “staying there, because maybe he forgot how to get back home”. Funny little guy. Since he is still too little to fly by himself, my mom made two trips (pick him up and drop him off). Both where kind of quick, specially the last leg (three days 
). So I just came back from dropping her off at the airport. I love my parents, they are great 
.
So after spending two weeks in Ensenada and enjoying time with the family, we are back in Florida. Weather is chilly and windy. We had a great time and I was able to see my parents for a few days. They actually took us all for a trip to the San Diego Zoo to celebrate Diego’s 5th birthday. We spent Christmas and New Year’s with my in laws. Diego and Jimena where able to see their cousins and spend hours playing outdoors.
I’ve now been in Mexico for a few days now. Christmas is a great time to be here! We spent Christmas Eve at my in-laws, we’ll probably do the same for New Year’s. And soon after we will pick up my parents at the airport. After a few years of not being in Ensenada, I’m certainly surprised how in the big picture not much has changed.
Diego and Jimena are having a great time and adapted rather quickly to the climate. Regina and I are still struggling a little bit.
